Kings of Leon, the perfectionist American rock group, has launched its first clothing line KOLxS2A.

The 12-piece collection, in conjunction with French label Surface to Air, features a vintage-style leather jacket (£739), a necklace (£189), some rather dubious lumberjack shirts (£112), a surprisingly normal looking pair of jeans (£140), some boots (£361), a Bandana (£65), and what no rock god should be without, a black leather Guitar Strap (£209).

Although not necessarily known for their dress sense, they follow in the footsteps of other rock stars, the Beatles (their Apple Boutique line bombed after six months), Liam Galligar, formerly of Oasis (his Pretty Green clothing line has only been out for six months…), Madonna (her capsule range was a sell out success through H&M) and latterly, Hip-hop star Jay-Z.

Although we doubt that Kings of Leon will realise the commercial success that Jay-Z’s Rocawear brand has reached, with this collection.
